Dr. Gulshan Islam graduated in 2001 from Fatima Jinnah Medical, Lahore, Pakistan. She has worked in paediatrics and had FCPS training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at SGRH Lahore. She started working in the Australian Health system in 2010 and worked in hospitals in Emergency Department, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Medicine. She completed Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology as well as Diploma in Child Health during this period. She then joined General practice in 2017 and then went on to complete her Fellowship in General Practice (FRACGP). She also obtained Professional Certificate in Dermatology.

Dr. Islam enjoys all aspects of general practice but her special areas of interest are, Women's and Children’s health, skin issues, Mental Health, and Chronic diseases Management.

Dr. Islam is also accredited for GP shared Antenatal Care. She can also perform minor surgical procedures including Implanon insertion and removal.
